Buying Local Farmer Direct, means 98% of our ingredients are purchased package-free. Fair wages for local farmers. Also, no big-transport and no-warehousing (reducing carbon expenditure).

Sourcing Local Organic & Biodynamic, means we are voting with our money, to support small-scale sustainable regenerative farming techniques that actually replenish (not deplete) the soil—this is the only way forward. The results are increased crop productivity, and more nutrient-dense vegetables. Furthermore, supporting this type of agriculture means no spraying, no pesticides or fertilizers (made from fossil fuels), and none of the other chemicals used in non-organic farming that are systematically destroying our eco-system.

INTEGRITY IN SOURCING

We are using Certified Organic & Certified Biodynamic, Cucumbers and Carrots, from Forstbauer Family Farm near Chilliwack, for our Garlic Dill Pickle Ferment, and Spicy Ginger Turmeric Carrots, respectively.

All of our Heirloom Cabbage for this season's sauerkrauts are grown by Nutrient Dense Farms, an aspiring Biodynamic Farm growing in the heart of the lush Upper Squamish Valley, using regenerative growing techniques.

We are also working with the good folks at Ice Cap Organics Farm, who are growing us giant Kohlrabi, Certified Organic, in beautiful Pemberton Meadows.

All of our potent Heirloom Garlic for our entire line-up, as well as Heirloom Dessert Apples for the Mountain Apple Sauerkraut, are grown organically (non-certified) off-grid under the hot sun in the Lillooet backcountry at Roaring Creek—150+ years spray-free orchard and farm.
