If you're looking to add some spice to your dinners, those skewers are your answer. Traditional jerk marinade made from scratch to bring the heat and flavours you need. Made with local chickpea tempeh from Vegilante. Serve with a zesty cabbage slaw on hot summer days or with coconut rice on cooler evenings
Ingredients:
Vegilante chickpea tempeh*, pineapple, green pepper*, red onion*, Jamaican Jerk marinade : onion*, scallion*, grapeseed oil, lemon juice*, Tamari GF*, garlic*, ginger*, habanero pepper, apple cider vinegar*, all spice, thyme*, Himalayan pink salt, cinnamon*, black pepper*, nutmeg*, clove*. (*Organic)
Allergens: soy (May have been in contact with gluten).
Instructions:
Thaw the bag of skewers in the fridge overnight. Pre-heat convection oven to 375°F. Remove the skewers from the bag and place them on a parchment line baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes until internal temperature reach 79°C or 174°F or grill on the BBQ preheated at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until internal temperature reach 79°C or 174°F, turn the skewers occasionally to prevent burning. Time may vary depending on oven/BBQ.
